Fire destroyed an Otsego home Monday, but the 87-year-old woman who was home alone when the blaze started got out safely, according to a sheriff's dispatcher.
Elk River Fire was called to the the house on the block of 14200 of 81st St. N.E. shortly before 4 p.m. and arrived to find the home full engulfed in flames. It reportedly took two hours for the fire to be extinguished, the dispatcher said.
