Hockey: Armstrong hands Royal boys a 4-1 loss (11-29)

The Robbinsdale Armstrong hockey team scored three goals in the third period and beat Rogers-Zimmerman 2-1 on Thursday evening.

Robbinsdale Armstrong got two goals and two assists from Cody Thorson and handed Rogers-Zimmerman a 4-1 setback on Thursday evening in Plymouth.

The Falcons (2-0) outshot the Royals 41-26 in the non-conference game. Dana McCallum was in goal for the Royals and Jeff Riman got the win for Armstrong.

Jesse Ramsey scored for the Royals (1-1) in the third period, his fourth in two games.

Armstrong led 1-0 after two periods, then added three goals in the third.

Rogers-Zimmerman will  host Maple Grove on Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
