To the Editor:
On March 11, my daughter was in a very tragic car accident where a very dear friend of hers was killed. My daughter was also very badly injuried and we could have lost her, too. It is a proven fact that people are blaming her for the death of this friend. My daughter was a passenger in this vehicle in the back seat and was the only one who had not been drinking. Where does this blame come from? Shouldn’t it be on the person who bought the alcohol for these minors, or shouldn’t we blame the driver of this vehicle. It recently came to my attention that under the bridge in Royalton someone, in black paint, painted the words “Sheila Poser is a murderer. P.S. May she rot in hell.” To me, this is the work of very simple-minded people. Do these people think she wanted this young girl dead? I don’t think so. Sheila has been tormented enough, not only by losing a very dear friend, but by the people who have judged her without knowing what actually took place that night. We miss you terribly, Tabitha.-Trudy and Dan Graves, Royalton.
