New Ownership improves conditions

For the new owners of the Quick and Clean Laundromat on the west side, Chip and Gail Fortmann, the improvements haven’t gone unnoticed. Since purchasing the laundromat in May, 2003, the couple has invested in a new floor, some new machines, new paint, insulation and a new fan in the back of the business. The couple also upgraded the security system installing a camera and updating the alarm system. “We’ve heard a lot of compliments on how clean it is and a lot of people have thanked us for making it a ‘no smoking’ establishment. We also do our own repairs but we had some help installing the floor from Hub Zyvoloski,” said Chip who also owns and operates a locksmith business in Little Falls. “We’ve been successful in the short time we’ve been here and we hope to own it for a number of years. I actually got out of the small engine repair business to start this up, so I hope we can keep it going for awhile,” he said. The Quick and Clean also has a few arcade games that are owned and maintained by a third party and Total E-Clips hair salon is next door.
