Sentenced in District Court
The following persons charged with a felony or gross misdemeanor level crime in Morrison County District Court have recently been sentenced.

• James Lee Hirdler, 23, Little Falls—Convicted of one felony count of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree. Hirdler was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 60 days in jail. He will have supervised probation for seven years.

• Michelle Lynn Zilka, 20, Little Falls—Convicted of one felony crime of wrongfully obtaining assistance. Zilka was fined $500 and sentenced to five days in jail. She was ordered to pay $2,468 in restitution and will have supervised probation for five years.

• Kevin David Rakow, 42, Fort Ripley—Convicted of one felony crime of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct. Rakow was fined $5,000 and sentenced to 120 days in jail with 15 months stayed for ten years. He will have supervised probation for ten years.

• Anthony Keith Meister, 29, St. Stephen—Convicted of one gross misdemeanor crime of driving after cancellation. Meister was fined $3,000 with $1,500 stayed and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 335 days stayed for two years. He will have unsupervised probation for two years.

• Daniel Omar Green, 29, Minneapolis—Convicted of one gross misdemeanor crime of domestic assault bodily. Green was fined $1,000 with $700 stayed and sentenced to 20 days in jail with 70 days stayed for two years. He will have supervised probation for two years.

• Kevin Joseph Petersen, 38, Little Falls—Convicted of one gross misdemeanor crime of second degree driving while impaired. Petersen was fined $900 and received a pronounced jail sentence of 365 days. He will have supervised probation for two years.

• Daniel Paul Meyer, 37, Foley—Convicted of one gross misdemeanor crime of .14 second degree driving while impaired. Meyer was fined $3,000 with $2,100 stayed and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 275 days stayed for two years. He will have supervised probation for two years.

• Benjamin Murel Taylor, 22, St. Cloud—Convicted one gross misdemeanor crime each of giving a false name to officer and .24 third degree driving while impaired. He received a pronounced jail sentence of 365 days.

• John Thomas Kelash, 19, Little Falls—Convicted of one gross misdemeanor crime of theft of property over $250. Kelash was fined $3,000 with $2,500 stayed and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 335 days stayed for two years. He will have supervised probation for two years.

• Mark Gerard Nouis, 45, Holdingford—Convicted of one gross misdemeanor crime of .22 third degree driving while impaired. He was fined $3,000 with $2,100 stayed and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 335 days stayed for two years. He will have unsupervised probation for two years.

• Neal Robert Strandberg, 39, Monticello—Convicted of one gross misdemeanor crime of .20 third degree driving while impaired. He was fined $3,000 with $2,100 stayed and sentenced to 150 days in jail with 115 days stayed for two years. He will have supervised probation for two years.

Gross misdemeanor charges filed
Charged in Morrison County District Court with gross misdemeanor crimes recently were:

• Scott Robert Kalis, 32, Royalton—One count each of assault in the fourth degree – peace officer, obstructing legal process or arrest and possession of Marijuana in a motor vehicle.

• Dwight Douglas VanVickle, 49, Motley—Two counts of second degree driving while impaired.

• Timothy Michael Nelson, 33, Little Falls—Three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the fifth degree.

• Earl Francis Schantzen, 40, Minneapolis—One count each of driving after cancellation and speed restrictions – speed limits.

• Thomas Allen Skwira, 33, Royalton—One count of domestic assault.

• Katherine Mary Christensen, 58, Cushing—One count each of third degree driving while impaired and leaving the scene of an accident.

• Byron Lee Quinn, 44, Cass Lake—One count of driving after cancellation.

If found guilty, those charged face a maximum penalty of one year in jail and/or a $3,000 fine.

Felony charges filed
Charged in Morrison County District Court with a felony crime recently was:

• Jerry Len Walden, 18, address unknown—In connection with incidents between May 10 and 19, Walden has been charged with two counts of burglary in the third degree and theft – property over $500. If found guilty he faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine.

The court will set his appearance dates.

Crime
May 30—Mike Rivetts, Little Falls, reported the theft of a couple of hundred dollars in change and rings from his residence. No value of the rings was available.

May 30—Walter Johnson, Cushing, reported someone broke into his cabin and storage shed. A boat motor and chain saw were reported missing. No value was available.

June 3—Janice Lloyd, Champlin, reported her eight- horsepower Troy-Bilt tiller missing from a friend’s house.
