Lindbergh fans: second chance book signing

Those who were not among the throngs at Reeve Lindbergh’s book signing at Bookin’ It Bookstore back in February will have a second chance to meet the popular author and purchase her books for signing. Lindbergh returns to Little Falls as part of the 75th Anniversary celebration and will be making a brief (two hour) appearance at Bookin’ It. Bookin’ It owner, Laura Hansen, reports that Reeve’s newest children’s books, On Morning Wings, has just been received. It is an inspired, child-accessible retelling of Psalm 39 with cool, summery watercolor illustrations by Holly Meade. “We believe we are the first bookstore in the country to receive copies of the book,” Hansen said, referring to an advance shipping arrangements made possible by Lindbergh’s appearance.

Many of Lindbergh’s other children’s books will be available as well, including her two family memoirs, Under a Wing and No More Words; A Journal of My Mother Anne Morrow Lindbergh. No More Words, which recounts Reeve’s time care-giving in her mother’s last years, is a healing and helpful book for anyone dealing with an aging parent. Due to the universal nature of the book, and the sensitivity of the writing, over a 130 copies of this one title alone were purchased during Lindbergh’s visit earlier this year.

The event takes place from 9 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 10.
