Delano ends Huskers’ season

Delano, the #1 seed in Section 5AA volleyball, defeated Holdingford 3-0 last Friday in Annandale.

Delano won 15-7, 15-8 and 15-6.

The loss ended the 2001 Holdingford Huskers’ season at 11-14.

Against Delano, Ashley Hartung had two kills and two digs; Jody Yurczyk, three kills, one block, 6-6 serving and 12 digs; Kelly Breth, one kill, one block and four digs; Jackie Bloch, one dig; Beth Zwilling, 12-15 serving with six aces and four digs; Kelly Patrick, 4-5 serving and six digs; Elissa Riesner, 6-6 serving with two aces and two digs; Kelli Berscheid, one kill and four digs; Nicole Lyon, two kills, 13-15 setting with one assists, 7-8 serving with three aces and six digs; and Stephanie Leahy, one kills, 28-36 setting with six assists, 4-4 serving with one ace and three digs.
