Royalton Elementary students brighten up their school’s hallway

One hallway at Royalton Elementary is a little more colorful and bright, thanks to the efforts of Linda Zimmer’s third grade class. Zimmer, a member of the school’s Fine Arts Committee, came up with the idea of having the students paint a mural on a wall. Because her students are presently studying the Rain Forest, that was the subject chosen. Hard at work on the mural last week were Zimmer, student teacher Becky Miller, Amy Johnson,Tara Zimmerman, Meghan Presler and Anne Lange-Klisch. “It certainly gives you a good feeling,” said Principal Phil Gurbada of the mural. “We may have other classes do the same to some of our other walls.” Staff photo by Joyce Moran
